Holiday Rentals Umbria at Casa Fontana – A converted farmhouse on the Umbria-Tuscany border offering three comfortable, reasonably priced self catering rental apartments in beautiful grounds, including a pool with spectacular views.

Set in an extensive olive grove, Casa Fontana is a place of quiet relaxation, with butterflies and cicadas for company and vineyards on the doorstep.

With easy access from Perugia, Rome, Ancona, Pisa or Bologna airports, Casa Fontana is located close to Panicale, a medieval hill-top town with excellent restaurants and services; Lake Trasimeno with water-sports and golf; and within an easy drive of such famous centres of art and history as Assisi, Siena, Orvieto and many others.

It is essential to have a car when staying at Casa Fontana. Though there is a village within easy walking distance, there is no public transport. You can rent a car at any airport or take a train to nearby Chiusi station and pick up a car there. (Avis, Hertz, EuropCar and independents too) It is also possible to rent a car in  nearby Tavernelle, just at the foot of our hill.

Arrival at Casa Fontana

There will be complimentary provisions waiting for you in your apartment:  wine,  mineral water and some Grissini to help you relax into the Umbrian lifestyle straight away. Do let us know if there is any food  shopping you would  like us to do for you. Please note: supermarkets are generally closed on Sundays!

On arrival you will be shown around your apartment and,  if  you feel like stretching your legs, we shall take you for  a walk to see the pool, the grounds and the surrounding countryside. In the evening we shall host a  drinks and nibbles event. This is a chance to meet your fellow guests, to help you with programme suggestions and to answer any queries you may have.

Parking

There is forecourt parking for easy unloading and  a shaded car port a few steps away.
Those with restricted mobility or heavy luggage might like details of unloading distances:
Mimosa – 60 meters from forecourt, 2 separate shallow steps to the door step. No internal steps.
Tamarisk – 30 meters from forecourt, 2 steps to the door step. One interal step.
Cypressa – 6 meters from forecourt, 3 steps to the door step. No internal steps.
